Yesterday Jayson “Maravilla” Velez (23-1-1 with 16 KOs) agreed to meet me at the Wilfredo Gomez Arena Boxing Gym in Guaynabo to discuss his upcoming bout against Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (2012 US Olympian 19-0 with 11 KOs) on the undercard of Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on March 26th 2016. The card is promoted by RocNation Sports and Miguel Cotto Promotions and will be televised live on HBO.
Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera, a 12-round fight which is presented by Roc Nation Sports in association with Main Events, takes place Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California and will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing beginning at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT. Opening the HBO telecast will be Joseph Diaz Jr. vs. Jayson Velez in a 10-round fight for the NABF Featherweight title presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions.
