Hello Guys, Today I am going to show you how to organize your desktop in Snow Leopard. There are several programs/commands that I recommend doing. The first command I recommend adding using terminal is:
"defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-apps -array-add '{ "tile-type" = "spacer-tile"; }'
killall Dock" This command will allow you to have spacing between your icons on your docking station. The second program I recomend you use within conjuction with the spacing is a program called dockspaces, this allows you to have different catagory docking stations which is a very nice application. This application is free but only allows you to have 10 docks: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx... . There are also two paid applications I reccomend buying, the first application is called total finder which allows you to have a tabbing system between the finder, this allows a more organized way to view documents: http://totalfinder.binaryage.com/ This program cost $15 but is well worth the money. The second program you can get which I reccomend the most is called Cinch, you can get this program in the app store for $7 and it allows you to have a divider for your windows similar to Windows Aero Snap. If you don't have the app store here is the link: http://irradiatedsoftware.com/cinch/
