ہزاروں دکھ پڑیں سہنا محبت مر نہیں سکتی
ہے تم سے بس یہی کہنا محبت مر نہیں سکتی

ترا ہر بار مرے خط کو پڑھنا اور رو دینا
مرا ہر بار لکھ دینا، محبت مر نہیں سکتی

کیا تھا ہم نے کیمپس کی ندی پر اک حسیں وعدہ
بھلے ہم کو پڑے مرنا، محبت مر نہیں سکتی

جہاں میں جب تلک پنچھی چہکتے اڑتے پھرتے ہیں
ہے جب تک پھول کا کھلنا، محبت مر نہیں سکتی

پرانے عہد کو جب زندہ کرنے کا خیال آیا
مجھے بس اتنا لکھ دینا، محبت مر نہیں سکتی

وہ تیرا ہجر کی شب فون رکھنے سے ذرا پہلے
بہت روتے ہوئے کہنا، محبت مر نہیں سکتی

اگر ہم حسرتوں کی قبر میں ہی دفن ہو جائیں
تو یہ کتبوں پہ لکھ دینا، محبت مر نہیں سکتی

پرانے رابطوں کو پھر نئے وعدے کی خواہش ہے
ذرا اک بار تو کہنا، محبت مر نہیں سکتی

گئے لمحات فرصت کے کہاں سے ڈھونڈ کر لاؤں

Gungunaate hue anchal ki hawaa de mujh ko,
ungliyan pher ke baalon mein sula de mujh ko.

Jis tarah faaltu guldaan pade rehte hain,
apne ghar ke kisi kone se laga de mujh ko.

Yaad kar ke mujhe takleef hi hoti hogi,
ek qissa hun purana sa bhula de mujh ko.

Doobte doobte aawaz teri sun jaaun,
aakhiri baar toh saahil se sada de mujh ko.

Main tere hijr mein chup chaap na mar jaaun kahin,
main hun sakte mein aa ke rula de mujh ko.

Dekh mein ho gaya badnaam kitaabon ki tarah,
meri tasheer na kar ab toh jala de mujh ko.

Roothna tera meri jaan liye jata hai
aise naraaz na ho, hans ke dikha de mujh ko.

Aur kuchh bhi nahin maanga mere maalik tujh se,
uss ki galiyon mein padi khaak bana de mujh ko.

Log kehte hain ki ye ishq nigal jata hai,
main bhi iss ishq mein aaya hun, dua de mujh ko.

Yehi auqaat hai meri tere jeewan mein ki main,
koi kamzor sa lamha hun, bhula de mujh ko.
Gungunaate hue aanchal ki hawaa de mujh ko,
ungliyan pher ke baalon mein sula de mujh ko.

Tumhe jab kabhi milain fursatain mere dil se bhoj utar do.
Main bohat dinon se udas hoon mujhe koi sham udhar do.

Mujhe apne roop ki dhop do ke chamak sakain mere khal-o-khad;
Mujhe apne rang main rang do mere sare zang utar do.

Kisi aur ko mere haal se na garz hai koi na wasta;
Main bikhr gya hoon smait lo, main bigaR gya hoon sanwar do.

Meri wehshton ko baRha dya hai jodaion ke azab ne;
Mere dil pe haath rakho zara meri daRknon ko qrar do.

Tumhe subhu kaisi lagi, kaho mere khawahshon ke dyar ki;
Jo bhali lagi to yahien raho, ise chahton se nikhar do.

Wahan ghar main kon ha muntzar ke ho fikar dair sawair ki;
BaRi mukhtsar si ye raat hai ise chandni main guzar do.
